As we reach the milestone of turning 15 years old, we reflect on some of the achievements that we feel most proud of — from delivering impactful work and maintaining long-lasting client relationships, to giving back to the community and building happy, supported teams.

As we reach the milestone of turning 15 years old, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the things we're most proud of.

Here are 15 achievements that highlight our journey and commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, and community.

1. A certified B Corp since summer 2022

We're proud to be one of the first UK digital agencies to achieve B Corp certification after a rigorous accreditation process. This recognition underscores our commitment to high social and environmental performance standards, accountability, and transparency.

2. 5 years of our successful work experience program

For the past five years, we have run a successful work experience program for young people in the local area. This initiative gives them a taste of digital agency life and the opportunity to learn more about digital design careers.

3. Delivering award-winning work

We're delighted to have created award-winning work for our healthcare and pharmaceutical clients. Our most recent accolade was winning the ‘Best App’ award with our partners at Vhi Healthcare in the 2023 Digital Media Awards, and we're hopeful for a win at the 2024 PM Society Digital Awards with our clients at Astellas.

4. Supporting local young people through a long-established partnership with Spear

We have a long-standing partnership with SPEAR, a charity supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to get into work, training, and education. Our teams have been actively involved through volunteering, donations and mentoring.

5. Supporting charities close to our heart

Since 2020, we’ve pledged at least 1% of our profit to charity, alongside additional one-off donations to support various organisations and initiatives that are close to our hearts.

6. Positive feedback from clients

For the last few years, we’ve been running a client listening programme, interviewing our clients 1 to 1 to understand more about their experiences working with us and identify areas to do even better. The average feedback score from clients has consistently been at 8 or above.

7. A partnership with Ecologi to offset our environmental impact

We have been partnered with Ecologi as part of their Climate Positive Workforce Initiative since 2021. This involves carbon offsetting the impact of our employees and business activities, and supporting climate-friendly projects around the world.

8. Working on purpose-driven projects

We’re proud to have worked on meaningful projects, including user research with ultra-rare disease patients, pro bono research and design support for a blood cancer charity, and designing an app for young people living with haemophilia B to enhance doctor-patient communication.

9. Maintaining long-term client relationships

Our longest-retained client has been with us for 10 of the 15 years we’ve been operating, demonstrating our ability to build and maintain strong, lasting partnerships.

11. Prioritising mental health and openness

We’re committed to fostering an open culture where both physical and mental health is prioritised. Last year, we entered a 12-month partnership with workplace mental health consultancy, Luminate, including webinars and workshops, and we plan an annual programme of events for Mental Health Awareness Week.

12. Memorable company get-togethers

We’ve put on some amazing events for our team over the years, from Christmas celebrations in cosy Brighton cocktail bars to summer parties on London rooftops — and even remote activities like drawing baby sloths live-streamed from Costa Rica!

13. A focus on professional development

We invest in our team's growth with annual training budgets, bi-weekly Graphite Learns sessions, and hosting numerous external workshops and training sessions. A commitment to continuous learning is core to our our values, and it's something we apply across the agency. 

14. Collaborating with specialist partners

At Graphite, we know what we’re good at, and we’re able to recognise when we need support from specialist partners, whether that be with technical development, content creation, or data analytics. We’re proud to have established successful partnerships with other agencies and providers so that we can deliver the best possible results for our clients.

15. Resilience and adaptability throughout changing times

In the 15 years that we’ve been going, our sector has faced its fair share of challenges — from the financial crash to political uncertainties and a global pandemic. We’re proud of our resilience and ability to adapt and evolve with the times.
